Why I started The CheshireNailDoctor
When I was about twenty and working in retail, I looked at my hands which had chewed cuticles, bitten nails, and thumb nails I used for opening boxes – (my thumb nails are still that strong!) and decided to get false nails. I bought some and applied them myself. I was so proud of them and I felt different, elegant.
It was such hard work though – looking through boxes of stock, for that missing nail that had pinged off! I carried glue around with me, in fact I was more likely to have that with me than lipstick!
I did have them done professionally a few times too, but I was quite embarrassed about the state of my nails underneath the false ones.
Then I had an Idea, if I grew my own, it would save money, I could truly be proud of them and my hands would look natural, naturally elegant.
It was hard work – trial and error, this was before the word wide web! I persevered and I succeed. I had long, natural, truly beautiful nails. This was before I had a house, daughter and husband! Now I know that short manageable nails also need care and attention, but are achievable.
What the above did make me realise was that I wanted everyone to have the same, if I could do it, so could everyone, with the right help, support and advice. Once you’ve done it, you’ll never look back.
And so, I have trained with The Beauty and Holistic Academy to evolve my experiences and offer a complete service to you.
